I'm a hack, but I have some integrity. :o)

I think you can do both - it's a matter of writing the book of your heart and creating your own market. (Or writing the book of your heart, which you know won't pay the bills, and writing something else that will pay the bills - such as copywriting or freelance editing.)

I had the same rating - and completely agree, it is the balance which is critical. As for creating your own market - ah, there is the rub. :-)
